This Privacy Policy explains how VoQab ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application available on iOS and Android. We are committed to respecting your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

VoQab is designed with a privacy-first approach. Here is what we collect:

Data stored locally on your device:

• Quiz progress, scores, and learning statistics
• Your app preferences (theme, language, sound settings)
• Your review queue and spaced repetition data

Data processed by our servers (only when you use optional features):

• An anonymous identifier (generated on your device) used for cloud backups — this is not linked to your real identity
• Your IP address, temporarily logged for rate limiting and abuse prevention
• Suggestion messages you voluntarily submit via the feedback form

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identity
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties
• We do not use cookies or browser fingerprinting
• We do not require an account or login to use the app

3. Cloud Backup

The cloud backup feature is entirely optional. If you choose to use it, your learning data is compressed, encrypted in transit (TLS), and stored on our secure servers using an anonymous device-generated identifier.

You can delete your backups at any time from the app. We retain a maximum of 3 backups per user and automatically remove older ones.

4. Offline by Design

VoQab works 100% offline. All Quran vocabulary data, quizzes, and learning features are available without an internet connection. No data leaves your device unless you explicitly use the cloud backup or suggestion features.

5. Children's Privacy

VoQab does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require any personal data to function. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children's use of the app.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All communications with our servers are encrypted using TLS/HTTPS. Backup data is stored on encrypted infrastructure. We follow industry best practices to protect against unauthorized access.

7. Third-Party Services

VoQab does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external services used are:

• DigitalOcean Spaces (for encrypted backup storage)
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store (for app distribution)

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Use the app fully without providing any personal data
• Delete your cloud backups at any time from within the app
• Request deletion of any data we may hold — contact us at the address below
• Use the app without any account or registration

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
